Address Risks Upfront

Identify potential blockers in test data, environments, dependencies, resourcing, or defects. Define contingency plans or workarounds. Don’t assume everything will align perfectly.

Set Objective Exit Criteria

Define measurable goals for test coverage, defect removal, metrics, and so on. Establish objective criteria for completing testing and release readiness. This avoids endless re-testing and scope creep.
